Black Widower Challenge

The Black Widower Challenge is a dramatic, story-driven challenge created by James Turner. In this challenge, your Sim is cursed to live life as a werewolf. They desire love and family; however, their partners continue to mysteriously pass away whenever they settle down. Your Sim blames themselves, thinking their rampages are the cause of the deaths — but that's not the case...

This version of the Black Widow challenge is based upon the post on the Sims Challenges Wiki, which in turn references this post by LampreM. This challenge is quite different to the original, so make sure to read all the rules below!

Overall Goals

By the end of the challenge, this is what you're attempting to achieve:

1. Have had 10 successful partners (besides their untimely demise)
2. Built and complete your house
3. Cure yourself of lycanthropy (being a werewolf)

Setup and Rules

• No cheats, except ones to fix bugs.
• Start with a young adult werewolf.
• You can use your starting money to build or buy your house. Earn more money by:
• Keep all of your partners' graves on your lot.
• Remain a werewolf until you have had 10 partners. You can then cure yourself either using the intended gameplay or via cheats if you don't want to go through the whole process.

How to Play Each Partner

It's time to start looking for love! For each of your partners, you will complete these steps:

1. Find a new Sim to date on Cupid's Corner!

2. Go on dates to build your relationship. You can date multiple Sims to find the right match.

For each date, you must:

Use the Create a Date feature and randomize the activities you get.

Spin the Wheel of Activities to decide a required activity outside of the default ones.

Spin the Wheel of Worlds to decide what world the date takes place in.

You can create a copy of the wheels and remove items if you don't have the pack they are from.

Feel free to add your own additions too!

You can add new lots or edit existing lots to include the required activities you need.

3. Have a successful wedding in a random world!

Use the Create a Wedding feature from My Wedding Stories (if it's not currently bugged) to throw a lovely, wholesome wedding!

Spin the Wheel of Worlds to decide what world the wedding takes place in.

4. You can add new lots or edit existing ones to include the required venue for your dream wedding!

Move in your new partner and renovate your house! Make sure to include a special space just for your partner too!

Random Sims from Cupid's Corner won't always bring a lot of money. If you want, you can use a random number generator to choose how much money they bring with them. James Turner uses between $10,000 - $35,000.

5. During your next rampage, your current partner will meet their fate.

Spin the Wheel of Demise to determine your partner's fate.

If you can't complete the chosen death within your werewolf's rampage, you will have to continue triggering a rampage until the partner has died.

You can create a copy of the wheel and remove deaths if you don't have the pack they are from.

6. The untimely demise of your partner must happen during your rampage. Keep the urn/tombstone on your lot so that your partners can visit you during the nights!

That completes one of your partners, and you'll repeat this 10 times. After the 10th, you can seek the cure for lycanthropy!

After you're cured, you can optionally seek your final partner, who will live with you happily ever after!
